We did a study of Village's showing activity over the past few months, and found a positive trend. Showings are up 34% in April over March, and 81% over February. This is good news! It says that there are buyers and they are out and about. But we thought it would be even more interesting to compare the number of showings in these months to the same months in years past. We all know that warmer weather means more activity in the real estate world, so to give 2009's positive trend credability it seemed necessary to look back. Look what we discovered...
2007 2008 2009
February 626 581 466
March 684 650 631
April 738 758 844
Yes, February was down slightly in 2009 compared to the previous years, but March was practically right on target, and April had even more showings this year than in the past two years! What a pleasant surprise to learn that despite the down market, even more buyers are out trying to find their place.
